Lyk i love seeing them on screen but if i'm being real i'd find them annoying if i was in school with them coz they'd be tht one friend group who r only just obsessed with their significant others and who hv nothing much going on outside tht, and i'd personally think they need to get a freaking life already lol

Although elle is an exception to this so i love her so much, I d actually love to watch some sort of spinoff series about her life and experiences in Lambert over this series

ok i'm literally gonna get cancelled for this....but i'm getting a tad bit annoyed and exasperated with the new heartstopper season (i've only watched 1.5 episodes n this is already the case lol) coz it's soo....sappy. Which is not to say i'm not giggling and squealing at it but idk, it just feels wayyy too much. I love tht the characters r able to openly share how they feel abt each other, i really do, and yes its really cute and all, and idk wht i was expecting from a romantic teen drama named 'heartstopper', but i do wish they'd put more of an effort into exploring these characters outside their relationships and not just issues in the relationship or how they deal with personal stuff with their bf/gf....lyk i feel lyk we barely know anything abt these characters apart from having a vague idea of their aesthetic and a couple other things. Especially coz i am the same age as the cast, so i personally want to see them exploring themselves as individuals a little more instead of it almost always involving their relationships. Tho ofc this isn't limited to this series, ig thts just my issue with most of the romance genre in general

Did I mention "Or hide in the closet" hits just as the camera focus finishes shifting away from Isaac?

Chess Buddies WIP

Annabeth loved chess. In her opinion it was the best game, it allowed her to show off her intellect and strategic abilities while also allowing her a chance to indulge in her fatal flaw without the deadly consequences.

Unfortunately for her, there wasn’t really anybody that wanted to play her.

The first time Leo offered to play Annabeth in a game of chess she was wary. Leo had one of the worst cases of ADHD she had ever seen in a demigod and had a notoriously short attention span when not focused on one of his many projects, but there wasn’t anyone else willing to play so she went with it.

She had set up the board at a table in Bunker Nine, allowing Leo to be white, and waited for him to make the first move. Normally, when she played against her siblings, they would take a few minutes to decide on a strategy before making a move. Leo took one look at the board before moving one of his pawns.

Annabeth huffed a little as Leo took random bits of wire and metal out of his tool belt and began fiddling with them, seemingly unbothered by the game in front of him. She focused on the board and thought carefully about her first move.

By the time Annabeth finally moved her knight Leo had already built a small metal bird, that he then released. She watched it fly around Leo’s head before chirping and landing in his hair. Leo gave it a gentle pat before moving one of his bishops.

Annabeth narrowed her eyes at the quick move, Leo had barely even glanced at the board before deciding. Maybe it was a bad idea to accept his offer of playing since it seemed like he wasn’t taking it seriously. She strategized for a few minutes before making her next move.

And again Leo barely looked at the board before he moved one of his pieces.

At this point Annabeth was beyond annoyed, but her pride wouldn’t let her just quit the game. No, she had to win. She had to show Leo why he should’ve been paying attention, because she was about to demolish him. 

With that thought in mind Annabeth made her next move, fully prepared to checkmate the boy across from her in a few more moves.

“Checkmate.” 

Annabeth froze. She gawked at Leo, before looking down at the board. He was right. In just four moves he had managed to beat her. He had managed to beat her. 

“How?” She demanded, staring hard at the boy. Leo blinked a couple times, taken aback by the sudden harshness of her tone, before answering.

“I calculated the probability of which moves you would make and played my pieces accordingly.”

Annabeth stared. She was absolutely dumbfounded. He had beaten her strategy using math. She didn’t bother replying as she got up and left the bunker.

The next day Annabeth demanded a rematch. She had underestimated Leo the first time, but this game was going to be different. She was prepared this time.

Just a short one shot WIP that's been sitting in my drafts for almost two years. Might finish it, might not. Who knows? Certainly not me.

this is a bit of an ask inspired by another ask (and also ridiculously silly) but what’s the boys’ relationship with penny like in the future?? i loved the little snippet of her at bradley’s wedding and ice trying to figure out if she’s a threat or not (and then maverick coming back from dancing and saying he couldn’t stop gushing over ice….ugh!!!) but do they become good solid friends? I like the idea of them expanding their circle now that they can trust more people…even if one of those people are one of maverick’s exes

additionally: do her and ice ever talk about their shared experiences (not sex, ice would probably keel over and die, but just…having a relationship with mav)? the thought of penny cornering him is ridiculously funny to me. or maybe they never reach that point of comfort 🤷‍♀️ i just need to know if she ever takes them both sailing and ice gets a chance to laugh at mav on a boat

[also, in all sincerity, I have an unhealthy amount of things to say about this series and I’m a bit sad it’s over, but I love everything you’ve done <3 I could compliment it for days on end and probably never run out of things to say]
